Safeguarding
Parsonage Farm Nursery and Infant School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and expects all staff, volunteers and other people interacting with our children to share this commitment. We provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. We follow Government guidelines on safeguarding children and, as such, have all required policies in place, including Child Protection – these can be found on the policies page of our website.
All staff (including supply staff, volunteers and Governors) must ensure that they are aware of Safeguarding procedures at Parsonage Farm Nursery and Infant School. We will ensure that ‘Safer Recruitment’ is followed at all times when employing members of staff or recruiting a volunteer or Governor.
Sometimes, there may be a need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a pupils’ welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about a pupil are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the pupils’ welfare and safety.
If you are concerned about the welfare of a child at this school, please record your concern and any observation or conversation heard and report to one of the Designated Safeguarding Leads as soon as possible on the day.
If your concerns relate to the actions or behaviour of a member of staff which could suggest they are unsuitable to work with children, then you should report this to the Headteacher, Miss K Greenway (or the Chair Of Governors if the concern relates to the Headteacher) who will consider what action to take.
